As a Lead Audio Visual Technician, you will have to work on and configure a wide variety of Audio, Video, and control equipment in corporate/commercial environments. You will work alone and lead other technicians to accomplish the task(s) at hand. The Lead technician will also work with the A/V engineer and programmer to complete the Audio-Visual installation successfully. At the end of an A/V project after all components are properly installed and configured the Lead technician will be responsible for showing the end user how to use the system to include how to operate the user interface (keypad, Touch panel) if applicable.
Work with client’s schedule and set expectations.
Coordinate with the INTECH team for tech resources for project deployments.
Assisting clients over telephone, video and/or client site troubleshooting audio visual equipment.
Installing, managing and deploying AV inventory.
Provide training and client support to users in the operations of audio visual systems.
Make sure product is available and coordinate with the logistics team and client representative.
Review BOM/SOW/CAD drawings prior to project launch.
Work with AV engineer & programmer to confirm project requirements are completed efficiently.
Project coordination will be a requirement to include interfacing with architects, general contractor, electrical contractor and clients throughout the entire phase of the projects assigned.
Good verbal, writing, and listing skills are a must
Accomplish all duties as assigned.
Professional Skills and Abilities:
Experience in AMX and/or Crestron programming is a plus
Thorough and proven knowledge of installation techniques and National Electric Code (NEC) requirements are essential.
In-depth networking experience
Good communication skills.
AVIXA CTS and CTS-I certifications are preferred for this position
5+ years of experience in the Audio, Visual, and Automation field.
