Directs general marketing, communications and branding strategy for the association and related entities.
Some travel and public speaking may be required. General office work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:
Create and execute overall marketing and branding strategy for all NECA events, programs, products, and initiatives.
Provide supervision, mentoring and coaching to direct reports.
Develop a comprehensive marketing plan for the electrical construction industry, promoting the benefits, value, and success of utilizing NECA contractors to association members, chapters, construction industry trade outlets, select consumer outlets, and other media that helps powerfully communicate NECA’s vision, mission, and core values.
Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, construction owners, vendors, and suppliers to best promote the association.
Ensure the timely development of association marketing and promotional pieces.
Create a strategy for premium sales and maintain an appropriate inventory of NECA premiums.
Ensure that the NECA promotions booth reflects the association’s professional image at all times.
Directory: Act as editor of the NECA directory and supervise all aspects of its preparation.
Ad Sales: Create ad sales strategy and appropriate policies that interface with and complement association sponsorship programs.
Offer advice, consultation, and assistance to NECA chapters regarding their marketing strategy and offerings.
Maintain a cooperative and close working relationship with national staff, chapters, the Executive Committee, the Board of Governors, NECA membership and volunteers.
Successfully handle ongoing department budgetary duties as assigned.
Travel to special events, board meetings, and other programs as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or public relations. Minimum of four years’ experience in the marketing or communications field, with no less than two years in the promotion of the industry and/or not-for-profit professional associations.
